Electrocardiography (ECG)
Effective heart disease treatment begins with early detection. Electrocardiography is the best tool to analyze your pet’s heart health. Electrocardiography devices detect minute electrical changes caused by heartbeat movement. Small electrodes, called leads, are covered in conducting gel and placed on your pet’s skin. These monitor heartbeat activity, determining heart rate and rhythm and recording irregularities if they are present. This process is noninvasive and completely painless.
